Post-Salah Du'a

Du'a After Salah

Supplications to recite after the obligatory prayers, as taught by the Prophet ﷺ.

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ

Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah

I seek forgiveness from Allah (3 times).

📖 Reference: Sahih Muslim 591

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

Allahumma Antas-Salam wa minkas-salam, tabarakta ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram

O Allah, You are Peace and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Owner of Majesty and Honour.

📖 Reference: Sahih Muslim 592

لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things omnipotent.

لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah

There is no might and no power except with Allah.

اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَىٰ ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ

Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatik

O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner.

📖 Reference: Abu Dawud 1522, An-Nasa'i 1303

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ (٣٣) وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ (٣٣) وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ (٣٣)

SubhanAllah (33), Alhamdulillah (33), Allahu Akbar (33)

Glory be to Allah (33 times), Praise be to Allah (33 times), Allah is the Greatest (33 times).

📖 Reference: Sahih Muslim 595

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ

Allahu la ilaha illa Huwal-Hayyul-Qayyum, la ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm...

Ayat al-Kursi (Quran 2:255) — whoever recites it after every obligatory prayer, nothing prevents him from entering Paradise except death.

📖 Reference: An-Nasa'i, Ibn Hibban (Sahih)

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ أُرَدَّ إِلَىٰ أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-jubni, wa a'udhu bika minal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min an uradda ila ardhalil-'umuri, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatid-dunya wa 'adhabil-qabr

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from cowardice, miserliness, senility, the trials of this world, and the punishment of the grave.
